2025 has started, and you’re still wondering whether to become a content creator or not. There’s no time left for overthinking. You’ve thought enough, now take a risk and just get started. What’s the worst that could happen? You might fail. So what? At least you won’t regret it in your old age. Trying and failing while you still have time is far better than regretting when you’re older.
You might be thinking, “What is Suvam even saying?” Let me explain it clearly. Many of you are considering creating content but haven’t been able to start yet. Your mind is filled with questions: What will society think? How will you start? What kind of content will you create?
Look, nobody knows what’s going on in your head except you. However, if you’ve been thinking about becoming a content creator but are unsure if you should create content, I would say one thing—2025 is when everyone should start creating content. And it’s not just about earning money. There are many reasons behind this, which I’ll explain one by one.
Why Everyone Should Create Content
The question I’ve raised—why should everyone create content—is hard to answer correctly at this moment. However, I’ll try to express it in my own words. If you follow any content creator closely on YouTube or social media today, you’ll notice that most of the creators you enjoy watching aren’t just creating content to earn money. Most of them are already involved in some work and, alongside that, they manage to create regular videos for Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube.
I strongly believe that to earn love in content creation, one must either have a talent gifted by God or gain knowledge and skills. There are a few creators whose videos may have a lot of views, but we don’t follow them. Once our curiosity is satisfied, we stop watching them.
On the other hand, when we see someone we relate to or wish to become like, we tend to watch their YouTube or Instagram repeatedly. This doesn’t happen by chance. This is their skill, their learning.
Now, coming back to the question, why should everyone create content in 2025? The answer is simple: additional income. Furthermore, we can enjoy doing things we love, whether it’s designing, cooking, organizing, gardening, or travelling. By doing these things and living our life the way we want, we can stay happy.
Think about it—when you go on a trip or cook your favourite dish at home, do you feel like you’re working for money? No, right? But if you add a camera and record the same activities, you’ll spend your day happily while earning some extra money at home. Isn’t that great?
Does Content Creator only mean Vloggers
No, creating content doesn’t just mean making videos. Videos have become very popular these days. It wasn’t like this before. There was a time when, even though the internet was available to everyone, unlimited internet was not. Back then, the main source of information from the internet was Google and its articles.
Even today, just because we all have unlimited internet doesn’t mean we’ll watch videos all day. Think about it yourself—how many videos do you watch in a day? If you calculate, it will be no more than 3-4. But blogs or articles are something that, if you find the writing you like, you’ll just want to keep reading. Not only that, to watch a video, you need a good environment. If there’s no peaceful environment, you won’t hear the audio well, or you’ll need to use headphones.
If you like a part or scene in a video, you have to rewind and watch it again and again. But that’s not the case with articles. When you read an article, no one around you will be disturbed, and you can read articles anywhere, in any situation. Besides articles and videos, content can also come in the form of audio.
How to Become a Content Creator
If you measure success by money, then let me tell you right at the beginning that content creation is a long-term process. You might have to wait for a month, a year, or maybe many years. However, if you start creating content today, no matter how it goes, if you improve yourself every day, keep learning new things, and keep correcting your mistakes, you’ll notice that you are progressing little by little.
Maybe you start creating content today, but you won’t start earning tomorrow or even after a month. But if you start a YouTube channel with zero subscribers, remain honest, improve yourself every day, and follow a set routine for uploading videos, you’ll see your subscribers increasing slowly, one or two every day. These are the people who want to watch you every day, who may not know you personally but love you through your work, through seeing you in your videos, and want to be like you. This is success. Earnings come from this. This is how content creators grow little by little, starting from nothing.
Though I’ve found success as a blogger, I’m still not a successful YouTuber because I haven’t focused fully on YouTube. But today, I do have a Bengali YouTube Channel where I showcase my life. That channel is slowly growing every day. To me, this is success.
Should I create content alongside my Job
Content creation is the most popular source of income these days. And it’s not just income, you can also become famous. There was a time when people wanted to become cricketers or enter the film industry. But now, from young to old, everyone wants to be a content creator. Even famous film actors, serial actors, or cricketers are creating content these days. So, why not you or me?
To be honest, it’s not that you or I don’t have the desire to create content. Everyone does. But for some reason, whether it’s shyness or not knowing how to create content, many people mock new content creators. Will you give them attention? I don’t anymore.
Content, such as videos, audio, or blogs, is a huge source of income these days. In a month, you can earn more than you ever imagined. But there’s no guarantee. You might earn today, but there’s no certainty that it will happen tomorrow. So, I would say start creating content alongside your job. When you see that you’ve saved up enough money, and even if your income stops for some reason, you won’t face financial issues, then you can quit your job and dedicate all your time to content creation.
Also, no matter how much we live in 2025, at the end of the day, we live based on what society thinks about us. So, no matter how big a creator you become, you won’t be able to explain to society how your income is coming. Therefore, keep a job. It will bring respect. Creating content won’t take all 24 hours of your day. You might create content for 3-4 hours a day and maybe 2-3 pieces of content a week. That can easily be done alongside a job.
I don’t work a job because I started creating content at a young age and found success. Later, this became my full-time job. Though sometimes I feel like working a job. You never know, maybe someday I’ll work a job too. But my effort will always be to continue creating content.
